Township Clerk
The Township Clerk serves as Secretary of the Municipal Corporation and is also responsible for a number of public services such as: Election Official/Voter Registration, Registrar of Vital Statistics (birth, death and marriage records), Dog Licenses and Yard Sale Permits. The Township Clerk serves as the Licensing Officer for businesses, taxicabs/limousines and various other local licenses. As Custodian of Public Records, the Clerk is required to supply public documents
upon request in accordance with state law. The Clerk is frequently the first
contact to assist with questions about the Township or directing inquiries
to the appropriate Township Official or Department. Information on Vital Records, including marriages, civil unions, domestic partnerships, births, adoptions and deaths, can be found at http://www.state.nj.us/health/vital/index.shtml. The Township Clerk's Office accepts vital statistics applications and requests for certified records Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm. You may obtain Certified Copies of Vital Records for events that occurred in Egg Harbor Township by submitting the following form to the Township Clerk's office: Request for Vital Records Form The Municipal Judge, Mayor and Deputy Mayor are authorized to perform ceremonies to solemnize marriages and civil unions. Click here for a ceremony request. Effective December 31, 2005, contractors' licenses will now be handled through the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs.
